Facebook Marketplace was reintroduced in 2017, after its removal in 2014. But the later time,
it has tendered nicely. Before proceeding with how to post on it, let’s first talk about what is
this new place.
Facebook Marketplace allows the listing, finding, and advertising of products by users. You
cannot buy or sell products on Facebook Marketplace. Nor It supports transactions. What it
does is allow users to find products and get in contact with the seller. Suffice it to say, it is more
of a product listing site than an e-commerce platform.
It has less to do with shopping but rather acts as a place where users – be they individuals or sellers or
manufacturers – can list their products along with a price.
Your buyers can view the product listing and contact you to buy, negotiate or inquire about
the product. It acts as a site for sellers like you to connect with buyers and vice-versa. And
since there are no transaction gateways hence they cannot make payments on the Facebook
Marketplace.
Highly personalized service to customers can be provided through Facebook Marketplace.
Buyers will not be able to rate or share reviews and therefore, your products likely take the
main stage rather than the seller/business.
A business should keep in mind that it could use it from time to time though not
recommended since Facebook Marketplace does not provide customizability and brand-
identity.

Following these simple steps, you can post an item on Marketplace:
1. From your News Feed, click Marketplace in the left menu.
2. Click Create New Listing, then click Item for Sale.
3. Click Add Photos to upload a photo of your item from your computer.
4. Enter the info about your item. To mark an item as Free, you can enter 0 as the price.
5. Click Next. If Next is greyed out, make sure you' ve entered the information that's
required.
6. click Publish to post your Marketplace listing.
